Introduction
400km of racing, 5 stages
in Quebec’s region, the best
cyclists from Canada and around the
world, 4 distinctive jerseys and a thrilling show this is what le Tour de Quebec promises to look
like.
On national calendar
The best Canadians cyclist
whether juniors, seniors or masters will gather in Quebec city in September (4-7) 2008. In
each category, the best rider will have the honour to be the first to get their
name on the Tour Palmares.
A very good public potential
Quebec’s region is the perfect place to hold a cycling
stage race. By its relief, land beauty, and the stages selected, le Tour de
Québec has everything to succeed. Cycling races are very popular among the Quebec population. We only have to think about the
Mardis Cycliste de Lachine in Montreal which brings more than 10,000 spectators.
Closer to Québec, we can think about le Tour de Beauce which brings up to 5,000
spectators to its criterium. Therefore, our public expectation is very
conservative being in a major city.
No doubt that the few 400,000 TV viewers of the Tour
de France in July will keep an eye on the Tour de Québec as well.
Expected attendance
Prologue : Sprint - (Québec) à 7 500
Stage 1 : Road Race -
(Portneuf) à 5 000
Stage 2 : Urban
circuit - (Québec) à 7 500
Stage 3 : Criterium -

Stage 4 : Road Race -
(St Augustin) à 5000
